The appearance of a pendulous abdomen generally occurs because of excess fat, loose muscles or overstretched skin. Dieting to lose weight can help reduce the bulge of a pendulous tummy, although some people require exercise and even surgery to eradicate this type of lower abdominal protuberance. Some people refer to a pendulous abdomen as a potbelly. The girth around and over your lower abdomen can enlarge in response to overeating, pregnancy, lack of exercise, and extreme weight loss. Abdominal fat that hangs low on your trunk is most likely due to an excess of subcutaneous fat, the kind that accumulates under your skin, although abdominal girth may also include visceral fat, the type that forms around your internal organs. Weight loss often provides the first line of treatment in helping create a thinner, flatter abdomen. Dieting won’t remove excess skin or tighten loose muscles, however.
1. HONEY AND LEMON:
Mix a table spoon of honey and fresh lemon juice (1 lemon) with one medium glass of hot water. This is best done first thing after waking up in the morning. Honey helps in dissolving the fat while vitamin C in lemon juice helps in flushing out the fat in the body
2. HOT WATER IN EMPTY STOMACH:
Drinking around 1 litre of lukewarm water first thing in the morning even before answering natures call helps to cleanse the body thoroughly of the toxic wastes, tones the metabolic system and thus helps in fat loss.
3. RAW TOMATOES:
Raw tomatoes are rich in fibre, water & phytonutrients like Lycopenes. Fibre is good for dissolving the fat in the body while Lycopene is an excellent anti oxidant which reduces the oxidative stress in the body.
4. GINGER, HONEY & PEPPER:
Make a tea by boiling Ginger in water. Add Honey and Pepper to it. Ginger and pepper are thermogenic, they increase the metabolic rate while honey helps in dissolving the fat.
5. MINT LEAVES, HONEY & PEPPER:
A similar tea as mentioned above, again helps in burning the Fat & soothing the abdomen.
6. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR:
Apple cider vinegar when consumed with your food gives a feeling of fullness which causes less intake of food. Also it regulates the blood sugar level and lowers LDL & HDL levels in the blood which may eventually lead to weight loss
7. CURRY LEAVES:
It stimulates the digestive enzymes, regulates blood sugar & cholesterol levels, aids in detoxification and thus helps in weight loss.
8. TRIFALA CHURNA:
