Natural home remedies for sweaty palms
and feet
Try baking Soda
Take a big bowl of water and put 2 cups of baking soda in this. Soak your hands and feet in this for half an hour everyday.
Scrub with Tomato Juice
Put a couple of cups of tomato juice in a bucket of lukewarm water. Soak and scrub your hands and feet in this for half an hour. This should reduce sweat from your hands.
Use baby powder
Apply baby powder in your palms and feet if you sweat mildly. Avoid using deodorants as anti perspirants as they come with chemicals and especially the ones that block pores of skin can cause harm.
Try Tea
Tea is rich in tannins which serves as a natural anti-perspirant. Take 5 tea bags in a cup of boiled water. Let the water cool and after this soak your hands and foot in this for half an hour. This will reduce perspiration in a few days.
Drink Sage tea
Drink sage tea every morning on empty stomach. This is prepared by soaking the leaves in boiling water that releases the oil. However, do not drink too much as this can cause headache.
Tea has an astringent property which dries out excess oil and prevents perspiration.
Green tea can be drunk if finding sage tea is difficult. Green tea itself has many other benefits which include neutralizing toxins which cause bad smell in sweat.
Eat Iodine rich food
Thyroid disorder can cause sweaty palms or feet. Hence you should ear iodine rich food which includes fish and eggs. Natural salt is also a good source of iodine.
Drink water
Drink adequate water as this lowers body temperature and reduces sweating. You should at least drink 10-12 glasses of water or 3 litres of water every day.
Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is an excellent home remedy for sweating palms. You can soak your hands in apple cider vinegar solution of about 2 cups taken in a bowl. Do this for 5 mins for each hand and feet. Wash the vinegar with mild soap once you are done.
You can also add a couple of cups of apple cider vinegar into the water you bathe and this is also effective for sweaty palms and feet.
Try Boric Acid Powder
Boric Acid powder can be sprinkled in cotton gloves or socks and these can be worn whenever you are not doing anything. You can keep them for a couple of days after which you can take off the gloves or socks and wash your hands and feet with soap.
This provides very good short term relief.
Try Herbs
Herbs that detoxifies blood are effective treatment of sweaty palms and feet. Herbs such as Shatavari, turmeric, patola, neem are effective in curing various ailments including sweaty palms and feet.
Do’s and don’t’s for sweaty palm and feet
- Avoid eating oily foods. Avoid broccoli, asparagus, white onion, garlic, curry, coffee.
- Eat leafy greens and have tea.
- Avoid alcohol.
- Reduce stress levels by exercising or taking up a sport. This is very helpful as anxiety levels go down.
