FACIAL EXERCISE THERAPY
The image we see in the mirror not only defines us to ourselves; but also it defines us to the world.
But perhaps notions about traditional good looks are changing.
These days, a mobile and expressive face is more attractive than one of cool, aristocratic perfection.
Many of the actors with classic faces who were in the movies of the 1930s now seem almost embarrassingly superficial.
Exercise keeps your body fit, so why not exercise our facial muscles also, to keep our facial muscles firm and toned.
These exercises help in relieving the muscles and increase blood circulation, thus toning up face to reduce the effects of increasing age. These exercises help in reducing the effects of wrinkles, sagging and slacking of facial skin.
Through this therapy.. Lets know some facial exercises for wrinkle free, radiant and glowing skin..
It could be done by stroking the face gently with hands. For firming the skin around forehead and eyes, pull your eyes with your index finger while simultaneously pulling your eyebrows in upward direction. Repeat this exercise 10-12 times in a day.
For firming the lips try sucking your finger for 2-3 minutes and then take it out, repeat the exercise 9-10 times in a day. This increases blood circulation and thus is a good massage for lips.For cheeks
Sit and relax in a chair and lean your head at the back so that you are facing the ceiling, now place the three center fingers on your cheeks and press them inside and try to smile as broadly as you can for 8-10 seconds. Bring your head to normal position and repeat this exercise again for 10-12 times in a day.For double chin
Sit and relax in a chair and lean your head at the back so that you are facing the ceiling, now round your lips and stretch them out and come back to normal position in 15 seconds. Repeat this for 10-12 times. Stretching and relaxing the area around lips and chin helps in toning of muscles and get rid of double chin.For relaxing tensed facial muscles and wrinkles
Open your mouth wide and try to open it as much as you can. Hold on for 5-10 seconds and relax. Repeat this for 6-8 times in a day. In another exercise you can inhale deeply and then exhale with lot of force keeping your mouth wide open and taking out your tongue. This exercise helps in increasing the blood circulation around the face and thus helps ease wrinkles.

Find a space in your house where you can be alone and comfortable. Like many isometric exercises, facial exercises can look and feel somewhat awkward in the beginning. Sit upright in a chair, taking care to have good posture.Exercise Facial Muscles Step 1
Stretch your neck before beginning your facial exercises. All these movements should be done slowly, while breathing deeply. Tilt your head down and raise it back up a few times.
Exercise Facial Muscles Step 2
Slowly move your chin from one shoulder blade across your chest to the other shoulder blade.
Look over each shoulder for a count of 5 seconds. Repeat this twice.
Tilt your head to the right, as if you want to rest your head on your shoulder. Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat on the left side. Return to a neutral neck position to begin your facial routine
Look to your right side, while keeping your face pointing forward. Hold for 5 seconds. Move your eyes to your left side for 5 seconds.
Exercise Facial Muscles Step 3
Look up for 5 seconds. Look down for 5 seconds. Look diagonally for 5 seconds in each direction. Repeat in each direction 2 to 10 times.
This eye workout can reduce drooping eyelids and it can also refresh your eyes if you work on a computer or watch television for long periods of time. You can also do this exercise with your eyes closed.
Stick your tongue out as far as it will go. Hold this pose for 60 seconds.
Exercise Facial Muscles Step 4
Raise your eyebrows and hold them for 5 seconds. Open your eyes as wide as you can and allow your mouth to frown. Repeat 5 times.
Exercise Facial Muscles Step 5
Open your eyes wide, in a surprised look. Try not to raise your eyebrows. Repeat 5 times.
Exercise Facial Muscles Step 6
Look up at the ceiling. Pucker your mouth as if you are going to kiss something. Hold for 5 seconds and repeat 5 times.
Exercise Facial Muscles Step 7
Stick out your tongue 5 times while looking up at the ceiling. This set will stretch and strengthen your neck muscles. Return your head to a neutral position to continue the exercises.
Place 3 fingers on the top of your right cheekbone. Press down slightly. Smile to raise your cheekbone as much as possible.
Repeat on each side 3 times, holding for 5 seconds.
